Our Programs

Oston provides short-term emergency assistance to individuals and families in the Tajik community facing urgent, time-sensitive situations such as sudden medical emergencies, displacement, loss of housing, or other crises requiring immediate response.

Emergency requests are reviewed on an expedited basis when possible. Oston may initiate an emergency fundraising campaign if immediate funds are not available. Assistance may be provided through direct payment to a service provider, vendor, landlord, or medical facility.

Oston assists eligible families and individuals by providing food and essential grocery support during periods of financial hardship. Assistance may include grocery store gift cards, direct delivery of food and household essentials, or payment to an approved grocery provider.

This program prioritizes families with children, elderly individuals, and people experiencing acute food insecurity. Oston may also connect applicants with external food assistance resources available in their area.

Oston collects and distributes donated clothing, shoes, winter gear, personal hygiene items, baby supplies, and other household necessities to families and individuals in need within the Tajik community.

Items are distributed based on availability and verified need. Community members who wish to donate clothing or household items may contact Oston to arrange collection or drop-off.

Oston may provide short-term rental or housing assistance to families and individuals at risk of eviction or displacement. Whenever practical, payments are made directly to the landlord, property manager, or housing provider.

Applicants must provide documentation of their housing situation, including a lease agreement, eviction notice, or written correspondence from the landlord. Oston does not provide long-term housing or permanent relocation services.

Oston may assist with verified medical expenses such as hospital bills, prescription medication costs, specialist consultations, and medically necessary procedures for individuals who lack adequate insurance or financial resources.

Applications require medical documentation, provider invoices, or billing statements. Oston does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment and is not a healthcare provider. Payments are made directly to the medical provider when possible.

Oston supports broader community-building efforts including back-to-school drives, holiday assistance, childcare support, family crisis intervention, and community gatherings designed to strengthen social connections within the Tajik community.
